Wood Slabs
Slabs are a Dreamwood favorite. They embody our very nature as a company. We search for these treasures in areas where they have been left for dead. It is a shame that there are so many.
Each slab we go after meets certain criteria.
- 1. They are down and dead.
- 2. They are not have not become wildlife habitat.
- 3. They are from wood that has a high degree of decay resistance.
- 4. They have amazing grain just waiting to become a creation of beauty.
- 5. They have minimal amounts of checking.
Once we bring a slab into our care it is pampered along the way. We utilize every piece possible in an effort to conserve not just the resource, but our time to retrieve them.
Slabs can become everything from tables to relief carvings. We use them for bench sides as seen in our Bedrock Benches, vanity sides, or doors. Imagine the possibilities.
